Risks electronic transactions

The most common and important risks posed during making electronic transactions are:

➢ Data Interception: This is the interception of data and information transmitted to an online communication between sender and receiver.

➢ Falsifying data: Modify or forgery of data required for performing an electronic transaction when transmitted.

➢ Fraudulent transactions: This is the unauthorized access to the electronic trading system in order to introduce elements for nonexistent transactions or orders to modify existing data.

➢ Denial of Service: These are attacks that are intended to prevent the allocation of resources and services to the users of the online store.

➢ Masquerade : Someone malicious pretending someone else with the necessary authorization, stealing information or services or exploits initiates transactions, which cause economic losses or difficulties in the organization.

➢ Unauthorised access into computers and computer networks (cracking and hacking): It involves unauthorized access to a computer or computer network with the intent to copy, modify or destroy data.

➢ Malware: Malicious programs that are installed primarily on consumers’ computers without being aware of it.

➢ Phishing: This is a method Seizure critical personal data (credit card numbers, security codes, etc.) with questions that appear to be coming from a legitimate source.
